April 14, 2008 - Another Day

My day with the girls looks something like this:

I was trying to get a really nice photo for the Reece's Rainbow Homecomings page and this is what I get. I have one smiling angelicly, while the other makes a break for it.

I won't be distracted by phone calls today though. One of the girls put my makeup, lotion, toilet paper and telephone in the toilet. It is really hard when you don't instantly know who did it. Lera was looking the most guilty and Caelia was most willing to point at her. So the phone is drying out. And I am now listening for any movement in the direction of the bathroom. Previous experience has taught me that more things will find their way into the toilet before the fascination is over. To date, our kids have racked up the following tab, in regards to the toilet, 2 bottles of foundation, 1 lipstick, 1 bottle of powder, 2 cellphones, 1 cordless phone, a bathtub stopper, a small stuffed animal, a new toilet and Mom's diamond engagement ring. We tried putting a lock on the toilet but Caelia can open ANYTHING. Michael, however, cannot. Therefore, no lock on the toilet.

Today is also beautiful. Its sunny and the girls are determined to be outside. They are not willing to believe Mama that shoes and pants are required, especially since it is still around 35 degrees outside. Its supposed to be 50 later and mid 60 tomorrow so it should be just about impossible to keep them in until the morning chill has gone.

I did finally finish our Homecomings for Reeces Rainbow today. I keep thinking about how miraclous Lera being part of our family is...and it started with a picture (and a lot of help and info from Andrea). I was looking at the pictures on that page and I thought I would share a couple of our photos, so you can see how far she really has come.

I'm so lucky that my older daughters never put anything in the toilet. Now my current three year old, painted my toilet lid with my foundation and my eyeshadow brush! Grrrrrrr But it was funny!

Hi Sheryl, Both girls were really taken with Bill. They kept kidnapping him for a tea party! I look forward to seeing you all and I will try to blog when I can - I seem to be very busy lately. Michael says we get more done now that Lera is here!

This is one of the very reasons I call my two THING 1 and THING 2! Only if I could be The CAT and have Thing 1& 2's BOX!!!! I will say that my house smells baby powder fresh.... Why because they emptied an entire big bottle of baby powder all over my living room... But that is not the worst of it, my husband knew they had it. His excuse I did not think they could open it!! UGH!

You day sounds like one of mine! Life with two little ones who get into mischief is never boring, is it?

I loved seeing the pictures and the changes in Lera. It is amazing how much life eneters their eyes once they are home. I know there were many who loved Kara in Vorzel, but it is just not the same as being part of a family.
